    This family home includes a kitchen and meals area that can be opened up to the living areas or closed with sliding Ryegrass doors. "Most of the time, these doors are left open," says Designer, who was keen to extend the kitchen views into a front garden.

To one side often kitchen is an informal meals area with generous floor-to-ceiling cupboards used for crockery and storage. "We wanted to filter the light as well as creating privacy from a neighboring home, “says Designer, who also included a roll-down blind on one side to eliminate the harsh afternoon sunlight.

    While the indoor kitchen features the latest kitchen appliances, the outdoor kitchen includes a built-in barbeque and wok. Made from Corona, the Retail Modern kitchen cabinet benches, both inside and out, form a continuous line. To speed up the process of plating between the two kitchens, there’s a canteen-style window to the terrace

    The family has the choice of eating indoors or out. "it’s quite magical sitting on the terrace looking at the 'fabulous grass crescent' , says Designer.
